Why I Created This Video
I’m Tony Ingrassia.
I’ve been hunting deer for more than 50 years, and for over 20 of those years I’ve been studying one specific technique — the deer decoy.
When I first began using a decoy, my success was limited. In fact, in my first season I only had one deer come to my setup. But through the years of trial and error, careful observation, and hundreds of documented encounters on video, patterns began to emerge. I started to understand not just what worked — but why.
Last season alone (2025), I had 45 deer come to my decoy. My best season yet!
That success wasn’t accidental. It came from learning that decoying isn’t random — it’s strategic.
This film is my effort to share what took more than two decades to learn through real-world experience —not theory, not guesswork, but strategies forged in the field through trial and error.
